Bar Admission Ceremony

Like Rene, Gregory, Danielle, and Andrew, I was formally sworn in as an attorney today at the Supreme Court in Harrisburg. It was nice to see people from Dickinson, since I had not seen many of them since July. At our ceremony, each of us got to say our names to a Chief Justice Emeritus. Did those of you who participated in ceremonies do something similar?

I did not say anything, but they did call out my name and school and asked me to stand up.

the president of the bar association read all of our names and then if you were special enough to have family or friends already admitted they could add a few words...i wanted to shout out for danielle, but wasn't sure if that was allowed to be done by "i've been an attorney for a full 30 minutes" types. ;)

Rene tried, I will give her that! We didn't do anything in NH. Unless you knew someone who was already admitted. If you were just a regular shmoe like me it wasn't important enough to single you out. Congratulations Douglas, it is a great feeling!

I still say the greatest feeling was either being done with my last final or finding out I passed the bar.

I agree with "G". The best feeling was when I saw my name on the list of people who had passed the Pennsylvania Bar Exam. Being done with my last final was not really that thrilling since I knew I still had the bar exam to study for.
